Hazel is the story about a young girl who changes from being just a girl to being a teenager. Her father tries to commit suicide but his attempt fails. Hazel is then sent to the Caribbean by her mother because of some irrational decisions she makes and naughty things she gets up to. She also bonds with her grandmother and grandfather whom she never actually got to know before, she also finds out that she has more family than she originally thought (Which comes as a surprise in the book). She goes through many adventures and makes some friends that aren’t really friends at all.
This book was very interesting for me and I found that it grabbed my attention for most of the time. All in all it was an enjoyable book and it told a good story, which was adventurous for me. This book would be suitable for teenagers from about 13-16 years old. They will surely enjoy this book.
