Ray is an orphan who is separated from his sister. His father disappeared some time ago. He has a stone his father gave to him before his disappearance and Ray calls the stone Lodestone. The stone has powers that when Ray plays with this stone it pulls him to a Circus Train called the Mystifying Medicine Show. On this train there are many different people with many different talents.

Ray used to be a pick-pocket but now that he has met all these interesting people he has been asked to help out with various interesting and fascinating projects.

I enjoyed this book and recommend it for anyone who find who is fascinated by mysteries, as you never know what will happen next. Ages 10-15 will all enjoy reading this book.

It was a great read!
