Blade is on the run again from an unknown enemy, with Bex and her alleged daughter Jaz. On the way to a safe house, they run into trouble. Blade leaves the two girls to discover who is after them and why. He sneaks up on a group of men and overhears that Bex has been killed and Jaz has been kidnapped. Blade vows revenge.
Blade follows the bad guys and discovers where they are holding Jaz. In the meantime he nearly kills one of them, but does not have the guts to go ahead with it. Jaz is being held in a ship and wants nothing to do with Blade. It turns out that Bex is still alive. Blade is surrounded by his enemies and tries to escape. A knife is thrown at him and cuts him in the head. He falls unconscious and I await to read the sequel.
The book was brilliant, fast moving, filled with action and gripping. It is aimed at boys 13 -14 years old as it has some violence and one or two swear words. I don’t like the way the author finishes off the story as you are forced to read the following book (in other words, the book is not a stand-alone story). I don’t think girls will enjoy the story, because it does not have any romance and is quite violent.
