This book is about a girl named Kate who came a cross a grave in the church yard. The grave had a man’s name and his surname was Tranter, which was the same as her family’s. It also had the same date on which Kate was born. Kate thought that it belonged to her father because her mother and family had told her that her father had passed away abroad, on the same day that she was born.
One day the grave disappeared and Kate wondered where it had gone to. Kate decided to ask her brothers about what really happened to their dad and one of her brothers told her about a place called Sattin Shore where he had died, so Kate decide to go there and she couldn’t find anything on that shore just an empty stranded shore. Soon after that her mother found out about what Kate had been up to. She talked to Kate about it and told her that the grave did not belong to her father, but it belonged to her uncle that passed away on her birth day. She soon found out that her father was living abroad and had recently passed away, about a month ago, and it really hurt her, so the family decided to go on an outing to Sattin Shore and it all turned out to be good.
This book is interesting because as the book goes along each chapter raises more questions, and mysteries come up and never get answered. The best of all it gets more adventurous. What I also learned in this book is that one must be sure before doing something without enough information, especially if something is troubling you.
I would advise other teenagers to buy this book because it teaches one not to jump to conclusions before asking more about family matters and also not to be afraid to tell your parents if you have a problem in your life.
This book is good for girls and boys my age and older, because it teaches you a lot so I would advise my friends to get it!
