Max and Clio haven’t known each other for very long but decide to go away on a spontaneous “holiday” together. At first, plans seem to fall into place, but, after a while, mysterious people start to appear more than once, headlines don’t seem to make sense and lives seem to fall apart. Max and Clio build up a wonderful friendship but when things start to get complicated, their walk together starts to take strain.

Join Max and Clio for an incredible read, with a writer who manages to capture attention like a magic act. So many unusual things occur in this book, mysterious terrorist attacks, interesting islands and even an Ogre!

I enjoyed it very much. I found it incredible that Max and Clio kept their promises that they made to each other. I love this writer and when I read this book it felt as if he had written it just for me!

Definitely! Not for under 15 though. There are some parts where there relationship gets quite personal and younger children may not understand or relate.
