The way to Sattin Shore is about a young girl named Kate who lives in a place called Ipston with her mother, grandmother and two brothers. In this story she believes that her father is dead and always has been since the day she was born.

But Kate visits her father’s grave secretly without anybody knowing about it, as this book takes you on a journey so it also takes you on a journey of how Kate finds out that the grave she thought was her father’s is actually her uncle’s, and that her father is in fact still alive and so is her grandmother from her father’s side. The only people that Kate really has a bond with is her friend Anna and her dear cat Syrup. Lots of interesting things happen on the way to finding her father and about what really happened on Sattin shore the day she thought her father had died.

I thought that the book started of a bit slow but sure enough got into a good pace and was really easy and relaxing to read. This book was interesting and very well written, it’s definitely a good book to read.

I recommend this book from ages 13-16 year olds.
