“My quest to find the one starts right now”. This is the second book of the life of Rachel Riley, who still has very little “self-worth”.
Rachel is a typical girl who only focuses on her bad qualities rather than being thankful for the good qualities that she already has. This time, in Rachel’s New Year resolutions, she wants to find “the one and learn to snog properly. She tries to make her life more interesting, but her friends are out of the ordinary and when a strange new girl comes to her school, things start to change.
This book was fun, but there was a lot of repetition of the first book. There are new subjects in the book but they all generally lead to the same idea at the end – however this doesn’t make the book boring. Her life resembles that of your everyday teen and you may even get a few tips in the book on how to look at the bright side of life and to laugh at yourself.
This book will is appropriate for the ages 13 and up as teenagers will relate to it more.
