Scientists have developed a biological weapon that will make humans dangerously homicidal. They plan to expose people in countries opposed to the USA to the “pheromone” and those people will become homicidal. Two children, Gene and Apathy have to somehow stop this project from continuing, before people all around the world start wiping each other out.

My opinion of the book: This has been one of the most exciting teenage books I have ever read and I could not put it down. The author wrote the book very well, because each page had something new and kept me intrigued. I think the story was a little unrealistic for this day and age, but may be possible in the distant future.

What stood out for me: The last ten chapters of the book were the most awesome bits of writing I have ever read, because it was quick, witty and filled with piles of action.

I would recommend this book to boys between the ages of 13 - 16. Younger boys may not understand the dialogue and the book also jumped between many time zones, making it complicated to follow the story.

I don’t think girls would like it, because there is way too much action and no romance at all.
