Between Two Seas is about a girl, Marianne, who is 16 years old and lives in England. Marianne sets out to find her father after her mother passes away of sickness. She needs to go all the way to Denmark in order to find him, many things happen to her along the way, Marianne meets a host of people and friends in Denmark and finds out that her father is not really who she thought he was. She falls in love while in Denmark to a lovely blond haired young Danish man, and encounters lots of difficult situations as well as some delightful ones. Marianne finds family and finds friends that are worth holding on to for a long time to come.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the moment I picked it up. It was a real page turner and kept my eyes glued to the pages. At certain parts I found myself smiling from ear to ear, and at other parts I felt like I was really there at the time everything was happening. It was definitely a heart warming book and just made me melt.
I would absolutely recommend it to children my age, I think they would definitely appreciate this book as much as I did.
