This is a non-fiction book and it is about schooling in the past. I really enjoyed reading the book as I learnt new and interesting facts.
What stood out the most was learning about different religions and cultures. It is great for research eg. for projects.
The glossary at the back helped me to understand the meaning of the words in the book. There are also a wonderful variety of colourful pictures which explains different situations. The first European schools, boarding schools and home schooling are but a few of the topics that are mentioned.
I truly recommend this book not only for projects but for gaining knowledge as well.
I recommend this book for age group 11-16 years.
